5 Advantages to Having a Robot Vacuum

Here are five, big, easy-to-remember reasons for you to pick up a robot vacuum cleaner for your home.

1. Minimal effort, maximum effect

Obviously, the main reason you’d want a robot vacuum cleaner is so it can do the work for you. However, it’s easy to overlook just how good of a job it does. It can work while you’re out of the house, charges itself, and gets into all the little nooks and crannies that you’d have a hard time reaching. Heck, it might just do a better cleaning job than you! Best of all, because it’s a robot, it produces the same high level of cleaning EVERY time.

2. It adapts

A robot vacuum’s sensors are fine-tuned to detect not just walls and furniture to avoid bumping into them; it can also sense the floor it’s on. That means it can change its suction settings to better suit a tiled floor and then switch them to suit the carpeted floor in the next room. It can even automatically change its settings to repeatedly clean a surface that it senses is dirtier than usual. Also, aside from being able to be programmed to fit your schedule, you can also designate a robot vacuum’s boundaries. Basically, you can create “invisible walls” in your home that a robot vacuum won’t cross.

3. It’s accessible

Its small size makes it unobtrusive and a worthwhile pickup for both small and big residences. Definitely smaller than your average vacuum cleaner, it can be easily stored even in the tiniest cubbies when not in use, or brought along with you on trips. Additionally, it makes it easier for people with limited mobility to clean their homes precisely because it can do its job solo with little maintenance.

4. It lasts

A good robot vacuum can go on cleaning for years if treated with basic decency. Simply keep objects that might damage it away from its path, replace the dust bag as needed, clean the filter and brushes from time to time, and it should last you a good long while.

5. It’s cost-efficient

A robot vacuum starts at around P1,000. A good one could cost at least P10,000, while some top-of-the-line models go for more than P50,000. So finding one that fits your budget should be fairly easy. And quite frankly, it could save you a lot of effort and time, the latter of which can be priceless. By now, you’ve hopefully gotten an idea of just how efficient and effective a robot vacuum can be, and maybe you’ll want to try one out for yourself.
